Overview

An operational hub that makes Earth Observation more accessible and actionable

DEM-EO is a project funded by the Italian Space Agency for the development of an integrated platform supporting environmental monitoring, territorial analysis and infrastructure risk assessment through Earth Observation technologies.

The platform supports both technical and non-specialist users by simplifying access to EO data, processing workflows and analytical products through intuitive interfaces, automated services and dedicated training and support modules.

Challenge

Monitoring complex phenomena within a single territorial environment

  • Distributed risks Hydrogeological instability, flood events, subsidence, ground deformation and environmental changes increasingly affect infrastructure, hydraulic systems and ecosystems.
  • Data integration The project addresses the need to combine large-scale satellite analyses, continuous environmental observation and detailed GIS visualization.
  • Operational use DEM-EO supports river monitoring, ground deformation analysis, hydraulic and environmental assessment, vegetation and climate monitoring, and change detection.

A-DInSAR

Detection and monitoring of millimetric ground and infrastructure displacement through multi-temporal satellite radar analyses integrated into GIS environments.

PhotoMonitoring™

NHAZCA methodology combining optical, multispectral, hyperspectral, aerial, drone and satellite imagery for territorial monitoring and change detection.

GIS & Multi-Layer

Integration of satellite imagery, LiDAR, DTM, hydraulic layers, river datasets, embankments, climate data, NDWI/EVI indices and temporal products.

Operational Environment

Image acquisition workflows, automated data processing, multi-layer visualization, ready-to-use analytical products and support for end users.
